The Tally Virtual User License is designed to provide authorized access and support through the Tally Virtual User Pack. It caters to both existing virtual Tally users, including those accessing Tally through cloud platforms, RDP, Citrix, and similar technologies, as well as customers looking to adopt a virtual environment for using Tally.
Under this policy, each user accessing Tally is subject to a licensing cost. However, to support Tally customers, a limited number of user packs are provided at no additional charge. If the number of users exceeds the allotted free user packs, additional Tally Virtual User Packs must be purchased for the extra users.
Each Tally license type includes a predefined number of virtual users at no additional cost. Any users beyond the included limit require the purchase of additional Tally Virtual User (TVU) licenses.

A Tally Virtual User (TVU) License is a required licensing unit for accessing TallyPrime through virtual environments such as cloud servers, RDP, Citrix, or similar technologies. It ensures that Tally is used in an authorized and policy-compliant manner across remote and virtual setups, with licensing applicable to each active virtual user.
Businesses using TallyPrime through a virtual environment—such as Tally on Cloud, Remote Desktop, or virtual servers—are required to have TVU licenses for all applicable users. This requirement applies to existing Tally users operating in virtual environments as well as businesses planning to move from on-premise setups to cloud-based or remote access solutions.
TallyPrime Single User includes 1 complimentary TVU, while the Multi-User license includes 10 free TVUs. TallyPrime Server users receive an additional 20 free TVUs. These complimentary entitlements are part of the standard Tally licensing structure and help reduce the number of additional paid TVU licenses required.
